Here at Standard Bearers, we strive to improve upon yesterday’s standards by ensuring that our team remains well prepared to meet the challenges of generation Alpha. We understand that raising a child in a post COVID world
requires a collaboration between parents and school and our community is designed to ensure that all stakeholders are seen, heard and acknowledged. We believe every SBS child is important and comes to us with a gift and we seek to identify the giftings of each child because this is the door through which their learning will take place. Every child in SBS is unique and because of this we have chosen to adopt the Multiple Intelligence Theory of Howard Gardner as part of our pedagogy.
for our very busy parents, we recognize that the demands of work have increased making the role of parenting more challenging. At SBS we understand this and we are happy to walk the journey with you to ensure that your children don’t miss out. Communication makes this easier as we do not want to see any child left behind. It is for this reason that SBS has an open-door policy and my office is open should you need to speak with me. I look forward to welcoming you personally should you decide to join our community and my personal promise is that together we will bring out the best version of your child spiritually, academically, emotionally and creatively. Our teaching pedagogy centers around the use of technology as we aim to equip children with 21st-century skills and competencies required for their future work. By adopting key components of the Finnish Educational System into our curriculum, we have made collaborative play elements the center of our teaching and learning framework. Our classroom dialogue has gradually changed from a teacher-led class to a pupil-led class as our teachers transitioned into facilitators with a good grasp of collaborative lifelong learning. With the adoption of the ‘The leader in me’ programme, our future leaders have a more proactive attitude to their work, lives, and the community.
 Our wonderful world of developing exemplary children was a journey that began over two decades ago, this grows daily leading us to a place where our ethos of positive education and concern for the mental health of children is intensified particularly to safe guarding and child’s protection.

A place second to none that is completely technology-driven, in a child-centered wholistic environment where every child’s voice is heard and feelings expressed. We are equipped to offer online classes at any turn as our children continue to master the use of digital learning tools such as Microsoft Teams and Purple Mash. The children now use gamification as a learning tool which has made their peer-to-peer teaching more fun and engaging.
The SBS team works assiduously to prepare our ‘digital natives for the future of work. We do this by helping each child to discover their gifts and talents. We believe this is key to unlocking their potential as we prepare them for the “135 million new tech jobs coming to Africa in the next decade”(WEF).
