Our Inclusive policy

We believe inclusivity is a veritable vehicle for preparing neurodivergent children for the larger society, it allows everyone in our community to first see the ability in disability thereby developing understanding, empathy and respect. 

 

Over the years we have admitted children on the spectrum along with the hidden disabilities (Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome by recommendation).  After we understand the special circumstances of your child through a reputable child psychologist/therapist report, we then work with you to develop a personalized Independent Education Plan (IEP) for your child’s unique needs.

NB: Acceptance into our Special Needs Program is subject to meeting the following criteria:  

Submission Of a Comprehensive Educational Psychologist Report.

The Child Has Siblings That Are Also Registered At SBS; Children with Special Needs Need To Receive Physical Support From Familiar Faces.

Parents agree to provide a personal facilitator if required.

In our 25year history, we have graduated many neurodivergent children who have gone on to complete secondary school and university abroad. We have others who through the talents discovered at SBS have embarked on creative paths in music and art while some have learnt entrepreneurial skills.
